Description

We are a boutique CPA/Business Management firm with approximately 35 employees. We have an entertainment based clientele incorporating high net worth individuals and executives.

The Account Manager performs a variety of confidential and complex accounting and administrative duties. The Account Manager acts as the Business Manager for all clients on their desk handling and overseeing daily and routine tasks as well as responding to client's special needs and requests. The Account Manager ensures the business needs of the client are met and also directly supervises an assistant(s).

This is a full-time position for someone who is extremely detailed and enjoys a fast pace environment. The ideal candidate will have many of the following characteristics:

1. Provides professional and prompt attention to clients - Client Service is a Core Value.

2. Performs all financial reporting functions including monthly cash flows, contract analysis and supervision of all functions relative to cash receipts and disbursements.

3. Assists in the preparation of meeting packages and attends client meetings regarding financial projections, financial investments, contracts, insurance analysis and other matters as directed by the Management Team.

4. Coordinate deadlines and interact with the Tax Department relative to due dates as they relate to the clients on their desk.



Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Review mail, email, and other communications for actionable items such as income checks, invoices, notices, etc.
    • Review all AP for accuracy and proper approval
    • Cash management of client accounts
    • Review monthly bank/investment reconciliation's along with a cash flow or financial statement
    • Review monthly general ledger
    • Review payroll tax returns
    • Mentor and supervise assistant, as well as manage workload of Account Assistants/Bookkeeper on assigned clients
    • Review work of Bookkeepers (AP/AR, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll and financial statement review)
    • Prepare wire transfers
    • Assist with clients’ medical insurance reimbursements
    • Learn and assist with payroll taxes, deposits and returns
    • Prepare cash flow balance and transaction reports and send to clients
    • Assist with home and car purchases, construction projects, etc.
    • Miscellaneous projects as needed
